Scouts is on tonight as normal. We’ll be playing a wide game (the scouts asked for more of those last week when we sat them down to get their contributions ahead of our termly planning meeting). Tonight Jay (Connor’s dad) will be running a game that we didn’t quite get a chance to run on our camp out before the summer.
On a slightly more sombre note – we’re also going to be reminding them about the code of behaviour that we all developed together last week (have a look at it, you may recognise your child’s handwriting there somewhere).
Please send the scouts along tonight with footwear/ outerwear that they can run around outside in.
We had our term planning meeting this Monday just gone. Over the next two weeks (20&27 Sep) half of the scouts will be canoeing 6:00-7:30pm at Grantchester (thanks Hardwick for hosting us). The other half of the scouts will be doing firelighting 6:45-9:15pm as normal but at the Gautrey’s house. Again canoeing and fire-lighting are things the scouts have asked for, so we’re pleased to be able to schedule those in. More details will be coming shortly.
With the rest of the term we’re going to start work on the astronomy badge, which we’ve had some requests for. Thanks to Dave H (Henry’s dad) and Lee H (Sam’s dad) for offering to take us through that.
That’s our outline plans for this half-term.
See you tonight!
