We fielded a footie team of 8 majestic players last Wed, to play in the Cooley Cup, which is organised annually by Hardwick Cubs for local Cub packs.

The Cubs were amazingly positive, and did themselves proud against Cub Packs with much bigger numbers to choose from.

Matthew Joseph stepped in as our coach on the night, and helped enormously with making decisions about positions, and also showing the Cubs how the Cub ideals of positive behaviour play out on the field. So we may not have won, but:

  • we had the best qualified coach;
  • we had the most numbers of parents as supporters;
  • and Toby Hacker won the “Man of the Match” trophy.

Thank you again, parents, for your willing support.
