Dear Cub families,
Hope you all had a great half term, and that you managed to spend some quality time together.
Despite the fact there is a PTA disco at school this Friday which clashes with Cubs, we will be running the Cub session as usual at the village hall. As well as some games, we will be creating a wreath of poppies in readiness for Sunday’s remembrance day, and which will be laid in the Peace Garden during the ceremony.
It would be helpful if you could send your Cub with a (named) pair of scissors, as the lack of scissors rather held up the production line last year!
(Progress report 1): I hung up my 2 bee/bug hotels over the weekend, next to the mahonia bush. I’m hopeful of immediate occupancy, as the mahonia was covered in buzzy bees. We shall see. Absolutely NO interest from the birds in either of my carefully crafted bird feeders.
(Progress report 2): Skip and I went to visit Baloo (Darrin) in hospital this week. He’s being very brave about his very poorly elbow, but he wishes he was back home. He won’t be back at Cubs for ages yet.
See you later in the week,
